Chris Loeffler, CEO of Caliber Companies, describes this real estate investment company that is allowing people to diversify there investments.
Caliber is a full services real-estate investment company and really we are an owner for hire for individual investors looking for some sort of alternative to the basic traditional investments they have able to them. We help them to invest strategically into hotels, apartments, office buildings, single family homes and different types of assets.
We believe that income creates value. We make sure that that property can make enough income to generate the types of returns we are looking for. Over the last seven years, our average return has exceeded 20 percent. Our main area of focus is investing in markets that are growing and we see that as Arizona. We see that as Denver, as Texas and other places like that.
Caliber is very unique in the sense that there is not very many places that an individual can go and say, okay, I want to take this portion in my investment portfolio, get it involved into a couple of different hotel deals, a couple of different apartment projects, and maybe a diversified fund with the manager who actually does buy real estate on a daily basis, that actually does construction, takes responsibility for the results of those investments.
At the end of 2015, we had of roughly $155 million in assets under management. We believe at the end of 2016 we’re going to hit $260 million in assets under management. We’ve grown from three co-founders to over 40 people full time in our executive level, over 335 employees including our subsidiaries and one of America’s fastest growing private companies.
