Claude Lemasson, President and CEO of Eastmain Resources speaks about the company’s three key gold projects.

Eastmain Resources is a junior exploration company that is advancing three key gold projects in the emerging gold camp of James Bay in Quebec. The Clearwater project is our anchor project which hosts the old fire deposit for which we’ve just issued a new resource estimate. We recently put out a brand new resource on it which currently contains a measured indicated and inferred resource of about 1.3 million ounces at an average grade of just over six grams. So quite a high quality, a great resource for us. The next steps are completing 15,000 meters of drilling which will be done by the end of the year. The Eastmain mine projects holds a historic resource that we are currently converting into a 43-101 resource. We are continuing to drill on a new discovery near the historic mine. The Eleanor South JV project is a joint venture with Goldcorp and Azimut located 15 kilometers away from Goldcorp’s Eleonore Gold Mine where we are continuing to drill to advance a new discovery recently announced. And with a new vision and strategy we’ve been able to advance all three key projects with great success.

Eastmain Resources is a high-grade gold exploration company with high-quality assets in Québec. The highly skilled board and management teams are creating an exciting evolution and aggressively pursuing existing and new opportunities.

The company’s primary focus is exploration for precious metals in the Eastmain/Opinaca areas of central James Bay, Québec. The region is relatively under-explored and comprises several Archean greenstone belts, the rock assemblages responsible for most of the world’s gold deposits. The James Bay region is one of North America’s newest gold districts, and is host to five known deposits and is currently the focus of extensive staking and exploration. The company holds a 100% interest in two high-grade gold properties – Clearwater, its Eau Claire deposit and adjacent Lac Clarkie claim block, and the Eastmain Mine Project, and its historic resources. In addition, Eastmain holds a 36.7% interest in Éléonore South, a mineral exploration joint venture, located immediately south of Goldcorp Inc.’s (“Goldcorp”) Éléonore Mine and eight other strategic exploration properties in the James Bay greenstone belts. In total, Eastmain covers approximately 1,277 square kilometres of this new and fertile mining district.
