Critical Elements Lithium is advancing the Rose lithium-tantalum project in Quebec with key permits in place, detailed engineering well advanced, conditional infrastructure funding secured, and conditional long-term debt support positioning the project to move quickly to construction and production once a final investment decision is made.

Canada’s lithium sector is moving from concept to execution, and Quebec is emerging as a cornerstone of that shift. Critical Elements Lithium is developing the Rose lithium-tantalum project, considered one of the most advanced hard-rock lithium assets in North America.

The project benefits from year-round road access and nearby connection to Hydro-Québec, one of the cleanest and lowest-cost power grids globally. Management reports that major permits are in place and detailed engineering is well advanced, allowing the company to focus on the build phase.

Financing momentum

Critical Elements has received a conditional $20 million contribution from the Critical Mineral Infrastructure Fund and a conditional support letter for up to US$150 million in long-term debt from a major institution. Leadership views this package as a key advantage when competing to supply fast-growing battery and electric vehicle markets.
