President and CEO of Silver Viper Minerals, Steve Cope speaks on the company’s two precious metals projects in Mexico.
Silver Viper Minerals is a brand new precious metals explorer in Sonora, Mexico. We currently have the Clemente Project and the La Virginia project which we just added to the company. La Virginia, it’s kind of a special project in that it was it was lost in the Minefinders transaction when Pan American bought it. This was their look-alike for Dolores they flew the whole Sierra Madre range it sits 75 200 kilometers north of the Dolores mine along the same trend. We’ve had the ability now to come and bring all the claims in the early of over 30,000 hectares of land and 50,000 meters are drilling already done and we’re excited to hit the ground running. I would expect to have at least two rigs going we’ll start with an initial 5,000 meter program but I would expect that to grow rapidly. Minefinders just sold for a billion and a half to Pan American. We’re excited to pick up where they left off in 2012 and see what we can do on the ground. We currently have four companies under our management, Barsele Minerals, Orex Minerals, Dolly Varden Silver and Silver Viper. The previous success for the Belcarra Group was the sale of Orko Silver to Coeur Mining that was a bidding war between Coeur and First Majestic and we sold the company for 375 million. We’ve got four senior geologists within our group that I would put up against any other junior or major out there in the world for their exploration expertise and they’ve had a nose for it, they’ve made multiple discoveries in the past and we’re going to do it again.
