April 23, 2020

Committed to the highest standards of sustainable development

Alamos is a Canadian-based intermediate gold producer with diversified production from three operating mines in North America. This includes the Young-Davidson and Island Gold mines in northern Ontario, Canada and the Mulatos mine in Sonora State, Mexico.

Additionally, the Company has a significant portfolio of development stage projects in Canada, Mexico, Turkey, and the United States. Alamos employs more than 1,700 people and commits to the highest standards of sustainable development.

"The values that drive our company, in a nutshell, are safety, integrity, teamwork, environmental sustainability and commitment. We wanted to become a mining company that everyone can be proud of.", says President and CEO, John McCluskey.

Young-Davidson Mine

The Young-Davidson mine is an underground mining operation located in Northern Ontario, Canada. The property consists of contiguous mineral leases and claims totaling 11,000 acres. Further, it's on the site of two past producing mines that produced one million ounces from 1934-1957. The Young-Davidson open pit mine achieved commercial production on September 1, 2012, and on October 31, 2013, the Company declared commercial production at the Young-Davidson underground mine following the commissioning of the shaft hoisting system. Open pit mining ceased in June 2014 upon depletion of the reserve.

Island Gold Mine

The Island Gold mine is a long-life operation with a large mineral reserve and resource base that has grown significantly since 2015 through ongoing exploration success. A Phase I expansion of the operation wrapped up in 2018 taking underground mining and milling rates to 1,100 tpd. This helped drive production to a new record of 150,400 ounces of gold in 2019, the fifth consecutive year of record production. The Phase II expansion to 1,200 tpd was permitted in mid-2019 and a Phase III expansion study is expected to be completed during the first half of 2020.

Mulatos Mine

The 100% owned Mulatos Mine is a conventional open-pit, heap-leach operation with gold recovered through a carbon-in-column circuit. The project was originally contemplated as a 10,000 tpd operation though through various expansions and productivity improvements over the years, today it operates at a throughput rate of over 20,000 tpd.
