Jeremy Caddy on Transition Metals in the Abitibi Greenstone Belt
Jeremy Caddy, President & CEO of Aldershot Resources, describes this gold exploration company’s property in the Abitibi Greenstone Belt.
Graduated from the Royal School of Mines at Imperial College in London, Jeremy Caddy, President & CEO of Aldershot Resources revisits his carrier as a Mining Engineer. Starting in Australia, then Malaysia, Brazil and now in Canada, where he joined Aldershot.
Currently the company is exploring a gold property near a town called Gowganda. It is located near Timmins in the Abitibi Greenstone Belt, which basically runs across northern Canada up in the shield.
There was an established silver camp there called the Gowganda Silver Camp. Today there are about two million ounces of silver still in the tailings there, so it’s a very prospective area.
It’s an option and joint venture agreement with Transition Metals Corporation, very good operators from Sudbury.
After surface trenching and 21 diamond drill holes, the core looks really good.
The company is drilling now and expects getting assays and results that will give an indication of step-out holes from then onwards.
