Expansion is Underway at Bonterra’s Gold Mill in Quebec
Bonterra has one hundred percent ownership of the only permitted gold mill in the Urban-Barry camp in North West Quebec where significant expansion is underway. Bonterra controls three advanced high-grade gold deposits in the area.
Bonterra is a Canadian gold exploration company with a large balanced portfolio of exploration and mining assets including the Gladiator, Barry and Moroy deposits, Urban-Barry Mill and multiple highly prospective exploration prospects. Bonterra controls the only permitted gold mill in the region with a large land position of approximately 20,815 hectares in the Urban Barry Camp. Bonterra is located in the mining-friendly province of Quebec, within the Abitibi Greenstone Belt, advancing to the completion of a company wide updated NI 43-101 Mineral Resource Estimate in Q4 of 2018.
The Urban-Barry Mill is the only permitted mill in the region. The operational mill is located in Le Sueur Township, approximately 225 km northeast of Val-d’Or, Quebec, and is accessible by provincial Highway 113 linking Val-d’Or and Chibougamau. Val-d’Or and Chibougamau are full-service centres for mining and exploration activities. The mill is connected to the provincial power grid, has high-speed Internet and cell phone service with an all-season camp for workers.
Bonterra plans to expand the existing mill to 2,400 tonnes per day by the second half of 2019. The mill upgrade includes removal of the existing rod mill, ball mills and 40’ thickener and the addition of a SAG mill, two ball mills, gravity circuit, 75’ thickener and five tanks for leaching-adsorption.
