Wi-Fi-based threat detection technology

First Responder Technologies is a technology development company that commercializes academic and internally developed intellectual property for use in the public safety market.

The Company is developing a Wi-Fi-based technology that can be used to detect concealed weapons. Further, First Responder's threat detection technology line of business was created to capture a significant portion of the global weapons detection systems market, and in particular, the global perimeter security detection market. It's meant to detect large caliber firearms and large magazine firearms to prevent mass shootings and terrorist attacks.

Moreover, in the Company’s view, Wi-Fi‐based threat detection technology may be utilized by a wide range of facilities. This includes schools, places of worship, shopping centres and theatres. It's meant to not only make their premises secure but also reduce their cost of security, from the interior of a facility to the perimeter.

Additionally, the Company's patent pending Wi-Fi detection device reduces health hazards to civilians. It also has a less complicated regulatory approval process, as Wi-Fi operates in an unlicensed spectrum. It is faster, easier to deploy and safer than existing concealed weapons detection systems.
