Neptune Wellness: Technology For More Efficient Extraction

December 3, 2019

Specializing in extraction, purification and formulation of health and wellness products

Neptune is quickly emerging as one of Canada’s leading cannabis and hemp processors. This is due to its unparalleled scientific and technological expertise. They also hold a large-scale capacity to extract, process and formulate quality products.

"We have almost two decades of extraction experience, which really sets us apart from our competitors", says President and CEO, Michael Cammarata.

Neptune has a technological edge over many of its competitors. While most of them use CO2 extraction, Neptune has experience with cold ethanol extraction.

"The cold ethanol technology gives us a couple advantages. One, it's two times more energy efficient and it's five times faster", says Cammarata. "But what's unique about the cold ethanol technology is it protects a lot of the cannabinoids and different ingredients and inside the cannabis plant", he continues.

From their state-of-the-art facility in Sherbrooke, Quebec, they're focused on the development of value-added and differentiated products for the Canadian cannabis, global medical cannabis and industrial hemp markets.
