Robert Archer on Newrange Gold Corp exploration in the old Pamlico gold district in Nevada
Newrange Gold has a unique opportunity in Nevada. It is one of the best jurisdictions in the world to work. We currently have district scale projects that encompasses the old Pamlico gold district. At the time, it was in production, in the 1800s. It was one of the highest grade gold districts in Nevada.
Consequently, it’s never really seen much in the way of modern day exploration. So, in a sense we’re starting from an early stage. We have more than 300 old mine workings on the project. About 8000 meters of underground tunnels to work from.
There are some spots for some very coarse visible gold. As well as, a lot of the gold is actually very, very fine. Further, I think a lot of it’s probably been overlooked in the past.
I think what sets Newrange apart is that we have this project. It hasn’t really been properly explored for a long time. It is quite a unique situation in Nevada. It’s a terrific place to be.
We’ve got excellent infrastructure. We’re just off the major highway between Reno and Las Vegas. We have a power line crossing the property. Consequently, there’s a lot of things going for the project. We’re really excited about it.” – Robert Archer, CEO of Newrange Gold Corp.
Furthermore, newrange is an aggressive exploration. Developed company focused on near to intermediate term production opportunities in favorable jurisdictions including Nevada, Colorado and Colombia.
With numerous drill intercepts of near surface oxide gold mineralization to 340 grams gold per metric tonne, finally, the Company’s flagship Pamlico Project is poised to become a significant new Nevada discovery.
Focused on developing shareholder value through exploration and development of key projects, the Company is committed to building sustainable value for all stakeholders.
More on Pamlico
Located 12 miles southeast of Hawthorne, Nevada, along US Highway 95, the project enjoys excellent access and infrastructure, a mild, year-round operating climate and strong political support from Mineral County, one of the most pro-mining counties in the pro-mining state of Nevada.
The Pamlico project covers the historic Pamlico group of mines, as well as the nearby Good Hope, Gold Bar and Sunset mines.
However, discovered in 1884, the district rapidly gained a reputation as being one of Nevada’s highest-grade districts.
Held by private interests for most of its history, the property remains underexplored in terms of modern exploration.
