Sable Resources: Drilling in Mexico’s Silver-Gold Belt
Focused on the discovery of new precious metal projects
Sable Resources is a well-funded junior grassroots explorer. They’re focusing on the discovery of new precious metal projects through systematic exploration in endowed terranes located in favourable, established mining jurisdictions. Sables’ main focus is developing their large portfolio of new projects to resource stage utilizing their Upper Level Epithermal Strategy. Further, the drill projects Don Julio, Margarita, Vinata and El Escarpe lead this strategy, backed by a substantial early stage project pipeline in Argentina, Mexico, and Peru.
The combined experience of various members of the Sable team accounts for over 48 million ounces of gold discovered in Latin America and Canada. Additionally, Sable has an impressive land package in Mexico that they’ve been building for many years. Markedly, this includes 40 thousand hectares in mineral titles and over 1.1 million hectares in mineral applications in the central Mexico Silver Gold Belt, which is the richest silver region of the world.
“This year marks an important transition for Sable; from being a portfolio generator or target generator into a multiple target ready-to-drill company,” says President and CEO, Ruben Padilla.
Sable’s two main projects are Don Julio and El Fierro. The company is moving now to geophysics and then probably to ten thousand meters of drilling at Don Julio. Moreover, its silver jewel, El Fierro, is a high-grade silver-based system and was mined at a smaller scale in the past and has never been drilled. “We have defined two areas with five kilometers of veins, including one vein with 12 kilograms of silver per tonne. We are moving very quickly to geophysics to prepare the property for drilling no later than January 2021,” says Padilla.
