Opportunity From Increased Lithium Demands
The increased demand for lithium lead opportunity to novel lithium extraction methods
Standard Lithium’s mission is to unlock the value of existing US based lithium resources. By bringing new lithium to production soon, the company can minimize the project risks at selection stage.
Currently, their focus is on the exploration and development of the Bristol Dry Lake Lithium Project.
Located in the Mojave region of San Bernardino County, California, the site has different infrastructure in-place. Besides easy road and rail access, the location has abundant electricity and water sources.
Additionally, the company is also working on resource evaluation on 30,000+ acres in the Smackover Formation in Southern Arkansas.
The Agreement with TETRA Technologies
In January 2018, the company entered into an Option Agreement with NYSE-listed TETRA Technologies. This agreement grants Standard Lithium the rights to conduct exploration, production and extraction on 33,000 acres.
The Smackover Formation is a highly productive site and the Smackover deposit may be one of the most promising lithium regions to develop.
This shows the potential resource size in addition to an existing large-scale production infrastructure. Furthermore, it includes active large-scale brine extraction, processing, and brine re-injection facilities.
