A weakening U.S. dollar and improving global demand sentiment bodes well for the commodities in general. In the case of gold a layer of complexity comes in the back of geopolitical risk consideration where rising tensions can actually fuel the gold price while being detrimental to other commodities such as base metals copper and zinc.
