CEO Clips - First Nordic Metals on Unlocking Gold Potential in the Nordics

Why This Matters

Canadian-based gold explorer advancing large-scale discovery potential across Sweden and Finland

With a strong foothold in the Nordic region, First Nordic Metals is leading one of the largest junior gold exploration programs in Europe. The company holds Sweden’s largest undeveloped gold deposit through a joint venture with Agnico Eagle, and controls the full surrounding greenstone belt, now hosting over 10 major targets. In 2025, First Nordic launched a 25,000-meter drill program—a scale rarely seen in the junior space—following a busy year of target generation in 2024. The company’s thesis is bold yet focused: this belt may host multiple large-scale gold deposits, and with low-cost exploration and development advantages across Sweden and Finland, First Nordic is positioned for significant news flow and potential discovery momentum throughout the year.

Full Transcript

First Nordic Medals is a Canadian based explorer and developer focused on the Nordics, specifically Sweden and Finland. We own Sweden's largest undeveloped gold deposit, the Barsele Gold Project, 2.4 million ounces, and it's a joint venture with Agnico Eagle. In addition, we own the entire greenstone belt and have multiple targets, probably at about ten big scale targets now. So our hypothesis is that there are multiple deposits to be found on this belt. 2024 was a very busy year. We set up the year in terms of getting targets ready for drilling, and now they're all ready. That's why 2025 is going to be a big, big news year for us. Very active. We have a 25,000 meter drill program which could actually grow. So it's actually one of the largest in the junior space and actually the largest junior exploration drill program in Europe. Both exploration and development and production are unbelievably low cost and a huge advantage for us to be there.
