Terra Innovatum: Redefining Energy With the World's First Micro Modular Nuclear Reactor

With commercial deployment set for 2028, Terra Innovatum’s SOLO reactor marks a new era for clean, scalable nuclear energy.

Terra Innovatum is building what could be the most impactful nuclear energy advancement in decades. Their micro modular reactor, SOLO, is designed to bring safe, scalable nuclear power to applications ranging from residential neighborhoods to energy-hungry data centers. What sets SOLO apart? It’s compact—just 2.5m by 6m—and is housed in a concrete-shielded unit roughly the size of a shipping container.

Unlike other advanced reactor concepts still in development, SOLO uses off-the-shelf components and low-enriched uranium that’s already approved and available at scale. That’s why Terra Innovatum is on track for a 2028 commercial rollout, with its first site planned in Illinois. With a reactor that cannot melt or explode, Terra Innovatum is reimagining nuclear energy—small, smart, and soon to be widely available.
