Aurania Resources Lost Cities

On the cusp of re-discovering the Lost Cities of Cutucu in Ecuador

Aurania is a junior mineral exploration company engaged in the identification, evaluation, acquisition and exploration of mineral property interests. Moreover, they have a focus on precious metals and copper.

The Lost Cities project is the search for two gold mining centers that were mined by the Spanish from about the mid 1500’s through to about 1600. The two centers are called Logrono and Sevilla.

"We believe that those two gold mines were the same kind of deposit as Keith and his team, our CEO, found at Fruta del Norte.", says PhD and Director, Richard Spencer.

To explain, Fruta del Norte was a discovery that Keith Barron made in 2006. It was sold to Kinross Gold for 1.2 billion dollars. Aurania hopes to find a deposit that is equally as rewarding.

"We're finding an incredible amount of different types of minerals and mineral discoveries.", says CEO and Chairman Keith Barron.

Aurania's flagship asset is The Lost Cities – Cutucu Project. Additionally, it's located in the Jurassic Metallogenic Belt in the eastern foothills of the Andes mountain range of southeastern Ecuador.

Further, the Cordillera de Cutucu is contiguous with the Cordillera del Condor to the south, together forming foothills on the Amazon-side of the Andes mountain chain. The cordilleras Cutucu and Condor are also separated by the valley of the Santiago River, which is the only river which breaches the divide and flows to the east, into the Amazon River system.
