Alex Metals is advancing a portfolio of three exploration projects in Southeast Alaska. The area, often call the Alaskan Panhandle, is known for high-grade silver, gold, zinc and copper deposits. Despite its mineral potential, the region has received limited modern exploration, creating opportunities to revisit historical mineral discoveries using new exploration techniques.
The company's exploration strategy focuses on identifying volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) deposits, similar in geological style to the renowned Greens Creek Mine in Southeast Alaska. With a technical team experienced in VMS exploration and coastal Alaska operations, Alex Metals is targeting mineralized systems that could support a significant new discovery.
Alex Metals has recently completed an approximately $8 million exploration program across its three projects, including drilling at two properties and additional fieldwork at a third. Building on historical mineralization and its latest exploration results, Alex Metals is working to uncover a new high-grade polymetallic deposit in Alaska.
