Southern Silver Exploration Corp. is focused on advancing its flagship Cerro Las Minitas Project, a large silver-lead-zinc resource in Durango, Mexico. The project is being evaluated as an underground mine, distinguishing it from open-pit projects affected by current restrictions in Mexico.
The company has continued drilling multiple zones of mineralization across Cerro Las Minitas, with the latest work expected to be incorporated into an updated mineral resource estimate (MRE). That expanded resource will then form the basis of an updated Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) planned over the coming months.
Management describes Cerro Las Minitas as one of the larger, higher-grade silver-based projects globally and believes there remains significant potential to expand the resource as exploration continues.
With additional mineralization being incorporated into the resource, an updated economic study ahead and further room for growth, Southern Silver is working to define the scale and development potential of its flagship Mexican silver project.
