"We're the first one that can say coast to coast to coast in Canada." says Fire & Flower CEO, Trevor Fencott. Fire & Flower started looking at themselves as a retail 2.0 company from the beginning. Their tech platform called Hifyre is a cannabis retail platform that delivers an entirely personalized customer experience.
Moreover, Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc. and Fire & Flower Holdings Corp. have recently announced the closing of a strategic investment. Couche-Tard is one of the largest retailers in the world. They have a market cap in excess of 55 billion dollars. They also have 16 000 stores in 25 countries around the world. Couche-Tard will be taking an initial stake in the company of 9.9 percent and ratcheting that up to 50.1 percent, a controlling interest in the company. In addition, they'll be investing in excess of 380 million dollars of growth capital in the company. "It's an extremely exciting opportunity for us to be able to use our international infrastructure and leverage that to get into markets that are outside of Canada." says Fencott.
