Galleon Gold is a North American exploration and development company focused on advancing the West Cache Gold Project, Timmins, Ontario. Further, the project sits along the Porcupine-Destor gold belt, approximately 7 km northeast of Pan American Silver’s Timmins West Mine and 14 km southwest of Newmont’s Hollinger Mine.
Data from the company’s 2020-21 drill program will be used in support of an updated Resource and Preliminary Economic Assessment. Additionally, permitting and baselines studies have been initiated along with a perimeter survey to convert the mining claims to lease status. "We've drilled 180 core holes. We have 100 percent accuracy in hitting gold mineralization," says CEO and President, David Russell.
Moreover, the Galleon team is confident they are advancing a world-class gold deposit at their West Cache Gold Project.
"We set the bar high and we've got a three-year plan to actually bring an exploration project all the way through from pre-feasibility to feasibility to construction and build the newest gold mine within the Timmins camp," says Russell.
