Kuya Silver is a Canadian-based silver-focused mining company. They're earning into an 80% interest in the Bethania Silver Mine, located in Central Peru. The Company is set to commence trading on the Canadian Securities Exchange under the symbol KUYA.
Kuya is expanding and optimizing the Bethania Silver Mine. The Company believes they can ramp up silver production very quickly. Kuya is also looking to become the next low-cost silver producer.
About the Bethania Silver Mine
Bethania was in production until 2016, toll-milling its ore at various other concentrate plants in the region. Kuya’s plan is to implement an expansion and construct a concentrate plant at site before restarting operations. Bethania produced silver-lead and zinc concentrates from the run of mine material until being placed on care and maintenance due to market conditions and lack of working capital.
Privately owned for the past forty years, the mine produces a high-grade sulphide ore from several veins in a structurally controlled swarm. Although 60% of the value is contained in silver, the veins also host recoverable lead, zinc, copper and gold. More than 6 km of underground workings currently access 7 veins right at or close to surface, with significant upside remaining along strike and at depth.
