Omai Gold Mine in Guyana

Rebuilding the Success of South America's largest gold mine

Omai Gold Mines is focused on the Guiana Shield, particularly in Guyana. Omai's common shares are traded on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol OMG. Moreover, the company is rebuilding the success of Guyana’s world-famous Omai gold mine. It's a proven high-grade deposit, previously operated by IAMGOLD, which produced 3.8 Million ounces at 1.6 grams. "There will be potential for new discoveries in around the original Omai gold mine," says CEO Mario Stifano.

Today, the project remains under-explored and rich in potential. Further, it has an average gold price that's more than 4 times what it was when the mine was last in operation. The property also has existing infrastructure, drilling data, and historical core available, which makes getting a gold mine into production a little more efficient. Omai is in a compelling spot to build the next great gold mine.

"There are a number of targets along strike that have never been tested. There will be potential for new discoveries in around the original Omai gold mine," Stifano says
