Chasing Scale and Grade in the Copper Capital of the World
With the global transition to electrification driving record demand for copper, companies with scale, grade, and jurisdiction are getting noticed. ATEX Resources is aiming to check all three boxes. According to President and CEO Ben Pullinger, the company’s project in Chile is shaping up to be one of the most copper-rich discoveries of the decade. Based on the 2023 mineral resource report, the system contains approximately 67 to 70 percent copper and 23 percent gold.
Now entering its most ambitious phase yet, ATEX is preparing for a nine-month drill program with six rigs operating simultaneously. The goal is to follow up on high-grade hits from earlier programs and update its resource model. With a history of massive copper production and established mining infrastructure, Chile remains one of the most attractive jurisdictions for global mining. For investors tracking the next big copper story, ATEX is positioning itself as a serious contender.
