CEO Clips - Bunker Hill Mining: Revitalizing an Iconic American Mining Legacy
Bunker Hill Mining, home to one of the most storied mines in the Silver Valley, is making strides to bring this historic mine back into production, focusing on zinc—a metal essential for renewable energy transitions.

Fast-Tracked Production of Zinc for a Low-Carbon Future
Bunker Hill Mining is poised to revive a cornerstone of American mining history with its high-grade zinc and silver operation in Idaho’s renowned Silver Valley. CEO Sam Ash highlights that zinc, the mine’s primary revenue generator, is not only essential for galvanization but also a critical component in renewable energy systems. In contrast to the usual 29-year timeline for permitting and development of a new mine in the United States, Bunker Hill is set to resume production in just under five years, showcasing its commitment to efficiency and innovation in an environmentally-conscious framework. As 70% of Bunker Hill’s revenue will come from zinc with additional contributions from silver and lead, this rapid development underscores the company’s forward-thinking approach to sustainable resource production.
